TUINA
A form of physical alternative healing medicine believed to be the oldest system of body work similar to Acupressure Oriental Massage that also includes a form of physical therapy, spinal and extremity manipulations of the bones, tendons and muscles with the goal of achieving relaxation of the muscles, mind and body. This is often used in conjunction with Acupuncture, moxibustion, fire cupping, chinese herbal medicine, tai chi, qi gong or other chinese internal martial arts.
GUA SHA
Is one of the oldest therapeutic techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine ever recorded, which involves scraping your skin, by a trained professional, with a smooth-edged tool to stroke your skin , often used to "scrape away illness". This motion raises small, red rash-like dots that show under the skin called petechiae, which can help the body heal. Traditionally used for treating chronic illness, treating and resolving fever and cold/flu symptoms, manage diseases, promote circulation, ease muscle pain, and has recently become popularized because of its ability to tone and shape the body (with wooden-therapy/ "madero-terapia"), while it can also promote a younger looking face by smoothing wrinkles, promoting elasticity and taming facial puffiness.
CUPPING
An excellent way to dispel toxins from the body and promote Qi movement and body relaxation by enhancing oxygenation of the blood.
