FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers published by the clinic. For anything not here, call us.
How does acupuncture work?
It stimulates neurotransmitters in the nervous system and triggers a biochemical response in muscles, brain and circulation. That activates the body's natural ability to repair itself and reduce inflammation. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, it rebalances the flow of Qi, the vital energy.
Is it safe? Does it hurt?
The needles are fine, single-use and sterile. The clinic states that acupuncture is safe when performed by a certified professional. How it feels varies from person to person; the doctor answers any concern about your case.
What conditions can be treated?
Traditional Chinese Medicine treats the whole person; the Western label is only the starting point. Dr. Rosario has experience in pain management, women's reproductive health, internal medicine, autoimmune and neurological conditions, headaches and pediatrics. For your case, the best step is an evaluation.
Do you treat children?
Yes. Pediatrics is one of the areas the clinic lists.
Who will treat me?
Dr. Karen Rosario, Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Integrative Medicine, licensed in Texas and Florida (DTCM, AP, BS, L.Ac.).
Do you accept health plans?
No. Yerbal Health does not accept health plans. The doctor explains why in “Who is behind the needle?” on her page: she wants to design care around the patient, not around what fits in a billing code.
How do I contact the clinic?
By phone at 939-428-3040, through this site or on Instagram @yerbalhealth.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancelling more than 24 hours ahead carries no penalty; 24 hours or less is charged in full. The full policy is on the “Appointment policy” page.
